Age was brought up in East London, but now
lives with his family on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, England. He says of his work:
"When I make sculptures and fountains,
I like to create work from materials that have had a life. I incorporate
recycled materials such as agricultural implements, hand tools and
household objects from the 1920's up to the present day. I like to
surprise and intrigue, to express humour with craftsmanship and style,
delighting young and old alike, bringing pleasure to your home, garden or
business environment."
Age's weathervanes and sculptural works have
been commissioned for both corporate and private collections, both nationally and abroad,
with work as far afield as Japan, Australia and the USA.
